Green Horizons has recently engaged in several community-focused projects. In partnership with Project Free, they cleared a local alleyway and provided weekly hot meals. At Woodlands Medical Centre, they led a horticulture session during the weekly Coffee Morning and revitalized a nearby community garden. At OL1 Baker Street Community Centre, they hosted a plant propagation session, offering participants calming and practical gardening skills. Additionally, they collaborated with Opal Advocacy on a therapeutic planting and seed-sowing activity. These initiatives reflect Green Horizons’ commitment to collaboration, wellbeing, and enhancing community spaces through nature-based engagement and support.

A Little About Us

Building Stronger Communities Together
Since our inception in September, we have been proud to collaborate with Project Free, a social enterprise that supports ex-offenders facing challenges related to substance use and recovery. Project Free makes use of our onsite classroom twice a week, delivering vital sessions for their service users and working alongside us on voluntary community projects—such as improving a local alleyway to create a cleaner, safer shared space.
Our commitment to community engagement extends beyond this partnership. We have also delivered sessions in collaboration with a range of local organizations, including Opal Advocacy, OL1 Baker Street Community Centre, Woodlands Medical Centre, and direct support for care leavers—ensuring our work reaches those who need it most.
We are also thrilled to announce that we have received funding from the National Lottery Awards for All Grant. This support will contribute directly to our upcoming Open Day on 12th August 2025, a celebration of community, connection, and the incredible work being done across our network.
Together with our partners and supporters, we are creating spaces of opportunity, empowerment, and lasting change.
